PostSubject: Shock (Bava)   Mon Oct 20, 2008 2:22 am

A woman returns to the home where her former husband died, and shortly thereafter her son begins to act very strangely. She comes to believe that her son is possessed and out to murder her, but how can she stop him short of killing him herself? Shock was released here in the States as Beyond the Door II but actually has nothing to do with that film at all; it was more of hoping to bank on the success of Beyond the Door, so you see it’s not such an old practice after all! This was Bava’s final film, co-directed by son Lamberto who went on to a pretty good career of his own

This is fairly a new one to me by the master himself & even though it is not as good as his earlier works, it still is a solid film and holds most of the Bava signatures. The boy in this movie is really creepy & the atmosphere is ace, work that can only be created by the master himself.

On a little side note that is some of my favorite box art ever!! Twisted Evil

I do agree, this is pretty sweet box art.

I'll have to hunt this down.
