Blind Woman's Curse (aka. (Black Cat's Revenge, The Tattooed Swordswoman)

Starring: Meiko Kaji, Hoki Tokuda
Director: Teruo Ishii

After three years in prison, an inexperienced yakuza boss must defend her turf in this Japanese cult classic. Akemi Tachibana (Meiko Kaji) leads her clan against the dangerous Dobashi-gumi mob, a mysterious blind swordswoman and a black cat with a taste for blood that seems to be a harbinger of death.

This film is quite unique, at times over the top goofy and at times just darn right weird, a style the Japanese are good at, plus this is one of Meiko's early films, so that is cool in itself always nice to see her on screen! I would have to say that the director Teruo Ishii accomplished a good task here the blend of many elements and genres and pulling it off, in this film you will see and find elements of Samurai, Yakuza, Horror, Exploitation & even black comedy is spread within. A classic for the time and definitely a underrated films in Meiko Kaji's career!
