Another one that is not a true horror but like most from the 50's took from both Sci-Fi and horror.I re watched this this one the other day and it still holds up as a solid film. Both Christian Nyby and Howard Hawks made this their own film and for the time had an awesome story. Carpenters Remake is a classic but sometimes people seem to forget about this one. I dont know anyone who has seen this has anything negative about it.

I still love the Carpenter version better but god this movie is still soo damn good, even though the Thing its self looks like a bastard child of The Incredible Hulk and the kid from the movie Mask lol

This film is not bad by any means, but this is a case for me as well, where I like the remake better than a original, Carpenter created a horrific film with this one...untouchable really.

Yeah, the remake wins hands down...one of the best remakes ever in my opinion...

But this is a lot of fun...

Al and I went and caught both of them the other day on the big screen...and I had not seen it in years, so I went down memory lane while watching and felt like a kid again...
